PhD Student Researches Celebrating CulTUral Uniqueness(CCU) at Tiffin University

Dr. Andrea Robinson chose to research and analyze Tiffin University’s Celebrating CulTUral Uniqueness Commitment for her doctoral dissertation. 

Beginning in the fall of 2017, Dr. Robinson traveled to campus and met with several individuals involved with CCU over the next several months.  She also surveyed stakeholders on campus as part of her research.  Dr. Robinson defended her dissertation in June 2019.  Her research in global leadership in higher education was titled, Comprehensive 国际ization:  A Case Study in 国际ization at Home, and was a qualitative case study to explore a comprehensive internationalization initiative at a small, 私人, midwestern university to determine if the initiative followed Mestenhauser’s systems theory regarding 国际ization at Home, and to determine if the implementation of the initiative fits into Davies’ four-quadrant model.

Dr. Robinson currently serves as the Economic Development Administrator for the City of Fort Wayne, 印第安纳州.  以管理员身份, she collaborates with numerous city constituents as well as assists small and large companies in business development, 增长, 工作保留和重新安置. Prior to working for the City of Fort Wayne, Dr. Robinson spent 20 years in higher education.  She was the director for the Media Entrepreneurial Training program at the University of Saint Francis for six years.   Prior to working at the University of Saint Francis, Dr. Robinson completed nearly 15 years of service at Ivy Tech Community College of 印第安纳州. At Ivy Tech she served in a variety of positions including seven months as Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.  Her last academic assignment at the college was Dean of 商学院 and Dean of the School of Fine Art and 设计.  In addition to her academic experience, she has extensive entrepreneurial experience owning multiple businesses.   


Tiffin University Joins Seneca County in Celebrating Dr. 马丁·路德·金.

Tiffin University joined leaders and students from around Seneca County on Monday, 2021年1月18日 to celebrate the life and work of Dr. 马丁·路德·金. The program included a collection of video-streamed greetings by NAACP representative, Joni Pinskey; Tiffin Mayor, Aaron Montz和Fostoria Mayor, Eric Keckler; and Tiffin and Heidelberg University student representatives.

Addressing the theme, “Seeking Justice: Make it Fair,” Dr. Trevor Bates, the newly appointed president of Wilmington College, spoke on “Keep Moving…Forward.” School children from Tiffin and Fostoria submitted essays on “What did MLK do to make life fair? What can you do to make life fair?” The award-winning essays were read by third-grade students from Tiffin Krout School and sixth-grade students from Fostoria Elementary.
